Baptism
Baptism stands as a profound religious ritual, marking the welcoming of a new individual into a faith community. It is celebrated by numerous Christian denominations, including Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant branches. Interestingly, this rite has also been embraced by various faiths beyond Christianity, reflecting its universal significance. Baptism can occur either in early childhood or later in life when one makes a conscious decision to align with a particular religious path.
For parents, godparents and catechumen, undergoing this rite is the culmination of dedicated exploration and introspection. While each denomination follows its unique practices during the baptismal ceremony, the essence remains the same: the symbolic use of water to cleanse an individual of sin. This water not only signifies purification but also prepares the person for a spiritual rebirth as they join a congregation or faith. Please complete the baptism questionnaire below before meeting with a celebrant.
